We stayed overnight here on our way to Tulsa. Jana was fantastic with directions and helping us get our horses settled. The barn was super clean, and the arena was great for letting our horses stretch their legs. I truly wish we would have had time to stay longer and enjoy the trails! (Maybe someday!). Whether you need a layover or a trail-riding getaway, I definitely recommend Singing Mesa Ranch! Thank you for the hospitality!

Absolutely stunning place!! The indoor arena is on the smaller side but the amenities and extensive trails make up for it.

Welcome to the ranch.  Gregg and I are life long Iowa residents who came to Lucas County in December of 2015.  We fell in love with the ideas that the previous owners had started and decided to carve out our own niche business.  We love horses, camping and music and so our journey began.  We have slowly added a private campground with the capacity of 6-10 campers.  We built  7 outdoor pipe pens with airy mesh shades for horses.  We've also opened our stall barn to our visiting campers.    Our mission is to keep our facility small, family friendly and to offer you a private getaway from the normal hustle and bustle.

You don't have to have horses to camp with us.  Several times a year, we host a music themed weekends and you might find an outdoor family friendly movie and popcorn or perhaps campers picking a country or bluegrass tune in the barn or under one of the awnings.

We have shower and restroom facilities in the stall barn.  Our indoor arena is 60 x 90 and well insulated.  Our stall barn has 10 matted stalls with automatic water and we have a wash bay with hot and cold water.

We created a number of riding trails in 2019 and expanded further in the spring of 2020.  While I can't quote the exact miles of trails, we now have a bunch of riding both in the open and through the trees and have 5 water crossing.  There's plenty of untouched ground to forge your own trails.  For the really avid riders, jump in a rig and haul a short 15 minutes down the road to Stephens State forest for acres and acres of horse trails.

Our off-grid cabin is coming along nicely.  Nestled atop the mesa in our rolling pasture, you'll find the main cabin. Our little eco-friendly outhouse is still a work in progress.  No AC here and no running water.  We'll pack you in some water and make sure you have firewood and get you all setup.  Bring your own bedding and nestle into the twin beds or convert them to a joined king.  2 lofts will house an additional 4 adults easily.  You'll need to use your dutch oven skills and the fire for cooking. Our cozy cabin has a small propane heater for the cooler weather.  Electricity is 12v with a generator backup so leave those electronics at home and don't expect to find a big screen TV either.  Check out our collection of outdoor games and re-connect with nature and your family.    Portable corral located just outside the cabin, the daily pen rental for the horses is $5 per day.

The staple of our business is our horse boarding.  We offer pasture board for well behaved equine and their owners.  We provide your horse with pasture and hay and a good clean water source.  You have full access to our barns and our trails.  We will keep a good eye on your equine partner and alert you should we notice any issues.  Our ideal boarder is an active participant in their horses life and is able to provide regular visits to their equine and participate in his routine care.  We are currently not able to offer full-care.  Our boarding family is fun and active group of horse lovers.  We regularly have a farrier and equine dentist scheduled in and we try to accommodate your needs for chiropractic and Magna-wave.

We currently do not have any rental horses, so all riding requires you have your own horse.  Thanks for reading our information and drop us a line if you have questions for us.

Thanks Gregg & Jana
